DAY 6 2020 SAFARI TO NGORONGORO CRATER

After an early breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater and descend to the Ngorongoro crater floor which is about 2000 feet deep and 14 miles wide. The crater hosts a remarkable wildlife spectacle. There is savanna, bushland, forests, and lakes, inhabited by the same range of game, from elephant to lion to wildebeest; there is even a soda lake for the flamingos. We will spend the day exploring the Ngorongoro Crater which is a World Heritage Site, home to nearly 25,000 animals, giving you a very real chance of spotting the big five: lion, elephant, endangered black rhino, buffalo and leopard plus countless other African mammal species. Witness the magnificent array of habitats, each with its own unique wildlife and flora. Take time out to stretch your legs and enjoy a picnic lunch at Ngoitokitok Springs watching the hippos jostle for position in the water. Stop and visit a Maasai Boma (village) to learn and explore their traditions and ways of life.

Continue with game viewing and in the afternoon ascend and drive to Karatu town for overnight stay.
